It's supposed to end tomorrow. I thought they said last Friday so couldn't believe it when I heard the 5 millionth trail another time. Evil or Very Mad

No doubt they'll start something else up in its place though Sad

Heaven knows how many times I've suffered the 'screaming ab-dabs' over those trailers, and previous ones. What's so unfair is that if I (or any 'pleb') had lost a job over the kind of things he did, what chance would I have of getting further employment with that (or any other) firm later on?

And, what's worse, a £500,000 salary (if rumours are true).

Can't he be persuaded to use his undoubted influence to sign for Man United then

Based on recent evidence he could be earning 30 times his pay on R2 and it's a win/win situation for me - we get a new and almost certainly better breakfast show and in all likelihood Man United get relegated within a few years Very Happy

To be honest, I think Moyes and the lads are doing a pretty good "Hari Kari" job even without Rentagob's help!

These trailers are fast becoming a pet hate, it seems, for R2 listeners! Like those who have already commented, I have been looking forward to the five-hundred word submission deadline for all the wrong reasons - some respite from these relentless trailers.

Check check check one two one two......need I say more?

R2 listeners don't need trailers to tell us what we need to listen to. We are all, allegedly, intelligent enough to make up our own minds.

I can't understand why Ken agrees to a "I'm back" style of trailer when he's only been away for two weeks. We know you've been away Ken as your stand-ins (Zoe, Claudia, Michael, Allinson) were appalling.

It's promoting the show to remind listeners they are returning and so disgruntled listeners who have had to put up with the standins don't move to some other station. Also you can't put in a DJ on who is going to out do the main presenter. Richard Allinson always tends to do that over Evans.

Any presenter sitting in for Evans will "out-do" him, in my opinion!

Indeed, Alex Lester is a very good example of how you can do zany / unorthodox and not become an annoying pillock in the process. Unlike Evans.
Please, start giving those night owls Alex Lester & Janice Long some daytime exposure and let us 'lights' hear how good these two are again. Like Radio 2 used to!
