Heard a trail that there is to be a night of tributes to David next Sunday starting at 9pm,
First will be part 1 of David Jacobs On The Record first aired in 2011 http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00yz3v9
Followed by David Jacobs A Celebration at 11pm http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03trh47
Not much on the second of those on the website right now, but more may follow during the week.

Cheesed off from London, here. I busied myself in the kitchen last night, thoroughly enjoying my Jacobean evening, after listening to part one of the tribute and about 20 mins of part two. Then decided to watch MOTD2 and listen again to the rest.
Except part two isn't (yet) available. And I see the BBC has been messing about yet again, with their website, needless to say, making it even more difficult to find what you need, with a click or two. It was fine yesterday...usually, if I need to listen again, I click iplayer on my desktop radio, and you get the choice of TV and Radio. Not anymore...why don't these people go and do something useful, like dredging Somerset? _________________ life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans |

I didn't hear any 'Off The Record' so I'm a bit cheesed as well as only half of it is there.
I've sent them a tweet but won't hold my breath. Have also tweeted the Playlister folks to say it would be good to use it if they would get Radio 2 to put up the playlists...........
I must be Mrs Angry this afternoon

They're having a bad enough time as it is,Raver, without sending incompetents down there to make it worse.

Any joy,Helen?
Dare I say..
.
Well that was a delightful 2 hours listen (both parts of Off The Record)...missed it the first time round but quite a few of the stories were familiar ....they must have been told around the time of his death.
The story of his naval commander having designs on him and how he reacted made me chuckle along with other stories David told ...lots to enjoy in these programmes.
His public personna was very much that of a suave gentleman but these programmes gave more than a hint of the cheeky chappie who lurked beneath that exterior. |

Not as yet Becky. Have sent a couple of emails but one is 'out of office' until next week so too late. Will give it another try later if nothing happens.

Have just had a response to say my email is being forwarded on to someone who should be able to put it right.
So fingers crossed!

No they didn't Becky.
I noticed a couple of weeks ago that Radio Times were having a question session with Bob Shennan and wanted questions. So I put this to them asking how they could miss a whole hour from the schedule (I gave the webpage with the glaring omission!) and of course the missing iPlayer programme. I also asked why so many evening shows don't have playlists when they have gone to the expense of creating 'Playlister' which of course only works with a playlist.
I won't be holding my breath for an answer!
