I recorded this and have whizzed through it stopping at items I wanted to watch ..have had a good laugh at parts of it..

The much advertised Beckham to Peckham sketch was very good,I thought, with David Beckham looking very relaxed....perhaps he is looking for a career in acting!...the end bit with him falling was inspired. Laughing
Del Boy and Rodney looked as if they have just carried on down the market since we last left them..loved seeing them again.

I laughed a lot at Patrick Kielty before and during the synchronised swimming ...very funny.

John Bishop, Seb Coe and their teams did a great job and although ultimately it doesn't matter who wins I was secretly rooting for Seb's team.

Course the purpose of it all is to raise money for Sport Relief and last I heard they had made £30 million..

Well done to all who took part!

Sorry Becky but just like Children In Need this is a totally patronising rip off which the BBC should frankly be having nothing to do with

I give to various charities regularly but I don't need a whole evening of TV being devoted in an effort to coerce me and others to 'do the right thing'nor do I need the BBC trying to brainwash me into giving only to their selected charities

I'm sick to death of hearing about Jo Whiley being on that treadmill thing every ten minutes on every show on Radio 2 - if she wants to do it for charity that's absolutely fine - but why does the Radio 2 audience need to hear about it - or even know about it?

Luckily I managed to avoid this c--p thanks to an excellent Rugby League match on Sky Sports followed by an interesting programme on Vintage TV about 80's electronic keyboards based music

Such silly and irritating events tend to make me far less likely to give to charity than I already do without them Evil or Very Mad

Me too, ruddles, I don't need to be told when and who to give to....that's my own choice

As I have just said I give to charities of my choice regularly so I have no feeling of being coerced watching these programmes

Didn't hear that once.

Apart from adverts on TV for this I have largely missed all the ballyhoo surrounding this event .. consequently the bits I chose to watch I enjoyed.

Total I now see is over £51 million ...good for them!

I thought the overall show was terrible. The endless pattern of happy/sad/happy/sad etc does not make for a good viewing experience. I'd rather they tugged at my wallet by entertaining me than making me feel guilty.

That said, I do think the Only Fools sketch was excellent. I wasn't sure at first, but it really worked and - yes - the punchline was inspired and so well done.

I have no idea how good/bad the show was because I avoided it. It was Friday night, after all.

I didn't watch as I'm not a fan of tele-thons or charity arm twisting in general, I prefer to give to charities of my choosing.
However it is fantastic that they raised so much money and I hope it helps those who need it most.
