Zoe Ball will be back on Breakfast for the first time since 1997 when she was on Radio 1 until she left the show in 2000.
Zoe will be covering Chris Evans Breakfast show week 24th September.

Zoe Co Hosted the Breakfast show on Radio 1 with the late Kevin Greening between 97 -98 - then went solo between 98 - 2000 before Sara Cox took over.. |

So was it her first first time or her last first time, or perhaps her first last time? We need to know these things. |

Surely both are preferable to the normal screaming banshee. The best CBBC presenter that CBBC have, so far, not had! _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

This morning I had the choice of either listening to Zoe Ball or Help for Heroes day on Smooth FM
In the end I just turned off the radio and revisited some CDs I haven't listened to for years - much better than the radio _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

I think you'd be hard pressed to find a pleasantly different breakfast show anywhere these days. Either the music may be repetative (e.g. Absolute & XFM, neither of whom seem to know when to stop playing certain tracks, to the point that you never want to hear them again) or the presenter themself may not be what you want to hear, step forward Radio 2 and the headache inducing Evans. When is he next off on his hols? _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

Sadly him going on holiday doesn't save us as we get the standins, who can be just as bad . |

No, I prefer the stand ins. Tubridy was pretty good.
Besides it was the listeners who deserved the holiday from Evans, not the other way round. And a thoroughly good holiday it was for all of us! |

Ditto - I thought Tubridy was good.
I was driving throughout a couple of those shows and actually didn't switch him off!
He has a much better rapport with the others in the studio than the usual herbert. They seemed to be enjoying themselves and relaxing a little more.
As for Zoe, (bless her) I wish (bless me) that someone (bless them) would tell her (bless her) to stop blessing everyone (bless them) ALL THE BLESSED TIME!
When anyone who is speaking in public gets stuck with an affectation of repeating an expression many times over without realising they are doing it, then their friends need to have word (bless them). I'm sure we all do it (bless us). |

I know it's happened before but it's certainly unusual for a DJ to cover two shows on two different networks on the same day with Sara sitting in for Vanessa (R2) and then Fearne (R1).
One of John Myers blog posts this week was about about Radio 2's use of more than one cover presenter in the same week:

Come on come on Zoe stop getting tongue twisted and saying the wrong things plus forgetting things. It shows its prepared by the producers and the DJ just jumps in. Vanessa Feltz show is the same. |
