You can read about the candidates for the UK entry here

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/eurovision/2007/mymu/

That'll be the bottom 5 for us again then Rolling Eyes

We're always in the bottom five because we're not part of any clique
eg The Scandanavian club ( Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland)
The Baltic mob (Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Russia, Ukraine)
The Balkan Party ( Bosnia, Serbia, Macedonia, Croatia,Albania)
The Cyprus Lovefest ( Cyprus, Greece and/or Turkey)
The only that ever votes for us is the Irish, and only if they beat us at Rugby.
The French hate us, The Germans have a lot of Turkish expats, The Dutch don't bother, the Spaniards will only vote for us if we give them Gibraltar back.

Everyone else doesn't understand why we do not take Eurovision seriously enough ( step Forward Sir Terry).

So there's a chance Ireland might give us some point this year then Laughing

As I've said before it dosen't matter who we put in as nobody likes us anymore. I think are one of the few countries taking part who take it as the farce it is and therefore just think it's a bloody good laugh and something to be ridiculed (which it is)

In the good old days, you knew full well that the french and the Germans hated you, but now all of 'New Europe' is far too cliqueish. Still, an evening of Terry lampooning our european neighbours is always good for a laugh.

Heresy I know, but I'd be much happier if Wogan was replaced by Bruce in the TV coverage. Ken is funnier and really knows his stuff.

The best thing about Eurovision for all of us here at Chez Sailyour is the bets we place on who will vote for whom. Who will Greece vote for (regardless of the song)? Who will Cyprus vote for (regardless of the song)? And what about the Scandinavian countries.......?

It's a good laff, innit!

Better stock up with the very best Champers, we're in for another good night no doubt. Money no object!

Ella

It is now a contest of which country can be the most bizzare. The most outlandish will most likely win. The group from Helsinki were bizzare, from a northern cartel and also a "neutral" country other cartels could vote for. Another example of a winning neutral country of course being Ireland.

The UK will never win in our lifetimes (unless we have any TYGS). So we might as well put up someone as equally bad as all the others. Cool
