I have to say I did experience a very, very short moment of excitement on reading the headline. I have to congratulate Mark on a very good wind-up this time.
Ah well.... |

Likewise, in the meantime, does anyone now when he's next on leave? So I can again enjoy hearing the kind of Radio 2 that I've been missing for so long! At present I'll enjoy Sara Cox on the Dawn Patrol spot again tomorrow. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

Forgive me if I'm wrong Lord Evan but the last time I checked, Chris Evans was only on from 6.30 am to 9.30 am.
Surely you can enjoy hearing the kind of Radio 2 that you've been missing during the other times of the day? |

Does such programming exist? |

You would think so but sadly I now find it unlistenable between 05:30 and 09:30,12:00 to 17:00, 20:00 to 22:00 on weekdays (and Ken Bruces holidays betwen 09:30 and 12:00 ) |

In other words - most of each weekday!
To be honest, I now don't even bother with Ken Bruce either. The format's the same, day after day, and the music is generally appalling. By contrast, Russ Williams on Absolute is much more bearable (apart from the awful station IDs and football talk), as is Caroline online. |

Indeed. I hardley listen in the week now, save for Ken Bruce if i'm not at work & Drivetime in the evening & some specialist shows later on in the evening. Saturday morning? Now that's much better! _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

I agree with pretty well all of the recent comments but I do have to say that I enjoy listening to the 'Oldies' on the SW show - and today's were unusually good including 'Softly Whispering I Love You' by The Congregation immediately followed by 'Friends' by Arrival which only recently almost everyone here agreed was a superb track
I'm beginning to think they should dispense with the current lot of producers and get the audience to choose the music instead - it might work provided they were given an unfettered truly free choice _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |
