Having dumbed down Radio 2 and Radio 3, the BBC is now targeting anything 'cultural' on TV, starting with:

I remember also that Channel 4's Time Team was being dumbed down, so Mick Aston quit

(sadly, Mick died last year)

Oh dear. It's no wonder most of the BBC Natural History unit quit to make films for Disney - more money and, ironically, more control of their films!

Worth noting that Talk To The Animals which aimed "to bring entertainment and humour to her role, in an attempt to convey the message to as wide an audience as possible" and was “all about being popular” launched to just 2.7m viewers, then lost a million of those for the second episode.
