A Hollywood star that I had a crush for as a kid Razz

And I was thrilled to see Lauren Bacall on Broadway must have been 1981 or 1982, Woman Of The Year. At the wonderful Palace Theatre. Fabulous.

Yes, sad news indeed. She was one of the greats with instantly recognisable face and voice. John, thanks for the clip of her singing with wonderful Hoagy Carmichael (who is my hero for having written my favourite song "Stardust")

More sad news.Sad

I think they showed a clip of her from Woman Of The World on the news,John.

Enjoyed the clips you posted.

I enjoyed,very much, seeing her in a film made for television called A Foreign Field with Alec Guinness.

Reading up on her today I found out that she was a first cousin to Shimon Peres the ninth President of Israel (that was a surprise) and that she lived in the Dakota Building where John Lennon lived.
