Richard Thankyou..blah blah comment on news item.................................radio 2.....88291 fm.........talking over his name richard allinson bbc radio 222 then cue music....... oh hi. It's easy ( how much do they pay for these jingles? Rolling Eyes Mark Goodier didn't even play a jingle from the hand over this week with terry, and sometimes out of the top of the hour news. So do you need jingles as they can be classed as a weak DJs tool !!

I don't hear very many station idents on Wogan apart from after the News.
The station name is important but i'm sure we all know what station we have on.
Same with Channel 5 or FIVE.
Why do we need the logo on the screen ALL the time?

Steve Wright thinks we are all senile. He keeps repeating the names of himself, Tim & Janey. And he keeps re-reading the news & weather every 10 minutes.

Steve Wright is trigger, sorry jingle happy.. Laughing His house must have boxes full of them on the old carts. Must admit he's had some good ones over the years. Radio 2 ones are good too, but you can't beat the old R1 ones.

I remember listening to Mark Goodier when he did the Radio 1 late afternoon show in the 90's - he would play the same jingles in the same order at the same time every day - i.e. quarter past 4 every day he played "he's the man who's got the best music..." etc. - used to really irritate me for some reason.

Richard Allinson step forward please.

Your country needs you or do I mean BBC Radio 2 between 2-5pm each weekday afternoon.

The worst Jingle Offender is Chris Moyles - he plays twice as many jingles as records. By sheer coincidence, he also writes them and gets a royalty whenever they're played. How fortunate...

Steve Wright's listening figures have risen so why would they want to get rid of him?
He may not be everyone's cup of tea but clearly there are people out there who enjoy his show.

Why so much Wrighty bashing on here?

Hi Mike-"Good to know you there " sir/friend.

In answer to your question "no I have not contacted Richard about his departure from Radio Oxford's Sunday morning schedules after this week".

My excuse (poor I know) is that I have been busy on work issues just recently so have not had the time to do this.

Is this something you think we should do over the this coming weekend-ie simply write to Richard and ask him etc.

I am confident that Richard is going to return to the Radio 2 schedules either to the breakfast slot as Terry Wogan's replacement soon or paruchuted into the Drivetime show as Chris Evans will take the breakfast show and Richard will fill Chris' boots.

I can't believe Richard's career interviews at the end of 2006 when he said on air "I am uited and booted today for some important carrer talks" have been a waste of time. I guess it's a question of watch this space.

Richard Allinson rocks.

Sorry to dissapoint but rumour has it that Tel is not going anywhere for the forseeable future so in turn Evans will not be vacating the drivetime slot anytime soon either.

Mark i can't see Rich getting breakfast BUT if Chris takes over from Terry then it would be a pleasure to have Richard on Drivetime 5-7.
Don't think BFBS would be too happy but the 2 stations do share BBC material and staff so i don't think they would mind.
Who knows it all hinges on Terry saying he's had enough.
With Paul Walters gone and Boggy retiring he may be looking to hang up the headphones.
