Seems like the iPlayer on radio has been extended to 4 weeks instead of just 7 days. I know it was mentioned some time ago in connection with the TV section but I hadn't heard anything more about when it was to begin.
Good news if you've missed the 7 days or have been away on holiday.

Great news,Helen!
I saw it on one of the programmes and wondered if it was a mistake ...but no!
I've sometimes missed a programme by just a few hours but 4 weeks should be more than ample time to catch up. |

Hold your horses! It's because of the extension that iPlayer broke last weekend, so from next week they're putting it back to 7 days until they fix the bug. |

Haha, sorry. Details are available on the latest Feedback on Radio 4 if you want to know who to really blame! |

I don't know if anyone here ever listens to the 'Feedback' programme, but for those who are curious, let me save you the bother by explaining one simple but abiding principle.......
The BBC never does anything wrong: When the IT doesn't work, that's not our fault. When we don't communicate with our users, that's not our fault. When shows are not conducted properly, that's not our fault either. We are, of course, always interested in your views and criticisms, but you should all really try to understand that nothing is ever our fault.
Try listening to this week's Feedback, you'll see what I mean! |

Those in the hotseat on Feedback do tend to get away with a lot more than occurs on Radio 4's "The Media Show". Steve Hewlett is not a push-over!! |

Mark Friend (Controller, Radio and Music Multiplatform) was a joke on last week's Feedback. |

Unless I've missed it on BBC media and also on the specialist IT/network tech websites, nobody seems to have explained what the actual cause of the "outage" really was, but whatever it was it was a biggie. Perhaps we'll never know. |

They don't know. But it happened the same time they extended Listen Again, ergo... |

Looks like it's been extended to 4 weeks again.
Hope the elastic band holds out this time.

I have just tried to Listen Again to Bette Midler, For the Girls which was on Radio 2 on Sunday 28th September. Guess what.......it isn't available! Have I misunderstood something? _________________ Pirate Johnnie Walker played my request on 11 April 2009 |

I think it has just re-started this week Angela so last week's programmes probably won't be included. I read something in the paper today about the TV programmes time being extended so checked today's R2 and they are now for 4 weeks.

Yeah, it's everything from Monday this week. Anything prior to that is still 7 days.
And the bad news is we've lost Series Catch-up so you really do only have 30 days to catch something. |
