Can't be long before Sara gets a regular show, She's covering for Vanessa Feltz over the next two weeks and is a vast improvement.

Sara Cox does have a regular show. She does Sounds Of The 80s on Saturday nights.

It's a pity she can't do an extra 3 hours this week to save us from the truly dreadful Michael Ball Mad

I'm already fed up with Michael Ball, my lovelies. I wish he'd give up presenting and go back to the stage, my lovelies.

Why does he say 'my lovelies' all the time. I feel like puking up.

That's one thing that puts me off him as well. Sometimes his Sunday show isn't bad musically, but I've got to be in the mood to listen!

Ed Stewart was slightly like that. Just the way he is. It can come across as patroinsing

He never called people 'my lovelys', in fact I don't remember him calling anyone anything? He never came across as patronising to me either.

PS I'm referring to Ed Stewart!

I am surprised that the news reader, the traffic girl and Vanessa Feltz don't gang up and punch him on the nose for what is a sexist remark. I cannot see him saying it to the ginger one or Alan Dedicoat.

And today's first words: hello, my lovelies. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

More seriously, the buffoon referred to The Ballad of John and 'Oko' and The Ballad of Bonnie and 'Clive' during popmaster. Why do the idiots who run daytime Radio 2 insist on hiring these witless 'celebs' and luvvies, when there must be lots of knowledgeable talent out there who would do the job better.

I like Michael Ball and wish he could bring his Sunday programme producer with him to the weekday shows.
Re NickBucks, what on earth are you on about with "what is a sexist remark"?
Are you actually being serious with that comment?

I like Michael Ball too. Although I don't listen to his Sunday evening show every week on the occasions that I do I enjoy it, as I did his shows when they were on earlier in the day. His "luvvieness" doesn't bother me Smile

I can see Sara Cox introduced at sometime to a daytime show and Scott Mills from Radio 1 will eventually move over.

2 more steps to the end of Radio2 and the completion of 'old Radio1' Rolling Eyes
