I'm enjoying "Sidney Chambers" on daily at 1p.m. , which I assume is the radio forerunner of the ITV series "Granchester". Neither the radio or TV prigrammes are exactly challenging but good for those moments when I need something undemanding. |

Thanks for posting about this,essexlady.
I started listening then realised it was one of the ones that had been dramatised for the TV series of Grantchester but I carried on listening, whilst doing a few chores, and enjoyed it nevertheless ... Alex Jennings narrated it well.
Sidney Chambers is poles apart from the nasty, horrible person James Norton played in Happy Valley and it speaks volumes for his acting skills that he is totally convincing in both roles.
I hope there are more books about Sidney to be dramatised ..I'm becoming quite fond of him. |
