I listen to Smooth on DAB and for some reason I get the UK version (with Andrew Castle at Breakfast) rather than the NW one.

As of today it's now playing Smooth Xmas Shocked (saints preserve us !) and when I try to retune Smooth is not available and neither is Smooth 70s. Anyone else having the same problem?

Hi Helen.

I have a dab clock radio and found, purely by accident, the other day that I can receive Absolute 60's radio on it. I tried my dab radio/s downstairs (again) and it is still unavailable on them so obviously it is a location thing.

I don't,as a rule, listen to Smooth but after seeing your post I tried to tune in to it and found the station is there but is unavailable. The Christmas one is available Twisted Evil but I don't have the Smooth 70's option at all.

I tried the same radio upstairs and Smooth (ordinary) plays but it has to be positioned carefully.

Very confusing!

It is Becky!

I emailed them last night and had a bit of an automated response, maybe it wasn't totally, more or less defending the change to Smooth Xmas (I'd intimated that I thought it was a bit too early!) and saying in Cheshire I can listen on FM and Smooth regional DAB.

I've not tried again on my Roberts internet/DAB/FM radio (3 years old) as the Smooth came up no signal, the same with the 70s version. I've a newer clock radio which I don't like or use as it's too bright but I'll try on there.

I wonder if they need to tweak a transmitter or something. I'll go back to them as I'm sure we aren't the only ones who can't get the normal broadcast in the NW. I wonder if Ruddles has tried?.

I was initially surprised that I didn't get the NW one as a default given that I'm only about 2 miles inside Cheshire from Greater Manchester!

I'd be surprised that they are willing to lose a lot of listeners over this stupid situation!

I've just tried on my alarm radio, which I don't use (can't sleep unless the display is turned off which sort of defeats the object of having it!) and it comes on there??

Both are Roberts radios so I wonder if I need to do a factory reset? May phone Roberts tomorrow as I don't want to lose my settings unneccesarily. We were thinking of buying another Roberts internet radio, they've changed the model slightly, to have upstairs. I'm wary though now if it doesn't get Smooth.
