As a Star Trek fan of many, many years I was very saddened to hear of Leonard Nimoy's passing. He created a truly unique and iconic character. Even those lesser mortals who are not Trekkies know who Mr. Spock is.

RIP and boldly go!

As a kid I was nits about the Star Trek TV series, and fascinated by the Mr Spock character.

I was amazed to hear one of the Sky TV newsreaders refer to him as Dr Spock, and apparently one of two newspapers have made the same mistake.

(Dr Spock was someone else entirely).

He certainly did,Number Six.Smile

This was his last tweet...

"A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory."

He signed off what was to be his final tweet with "LLAP" - a reference to his character's famous catchphrase, "Live long and prosper".

Sad news. Mr Spock was a truly memorable and fascinating character and Leonard Nimoy played him to perfection.
RIP

Sad indeed.
As a long-standing Trek fan, I was pleased that the original Spock character even found a way into and added value to the most recent blockbuster films.

Nimoy always came over as a thoughtful and dignified actor.
