I've had problems accessing the board over the last 24 hours, eventually getting and error number (504 perhaps?).

Hope it's been sorted and wasn't anything serious?

I had the same trouble Helen and had to log in at least 3 times in the space of 20 minutes even to get what you got Evil or Very Mad - it does seem better today

I've been down and out with the flu this week so only checking emails and sites today. The site, and all the bizhats, were likely doing maintenance.

Well the first flu I've had in years..... today is first day I've felt sort of OK. Last week doc wouldn't prescribe antibiotics and I think now I'm >60 it's going to take longer for me to get over bouts of unwellness.

Mrs W blames a visit I made to a meat-packing factory 27th April Smile

It certainly knocks you, I had a virus last spring and was in bed for 2 weeks. I couldn't stand up without feeling queasy, lost 7lbs in weight and it took another 2 weeks before I felt 'right', so take it easy John.

There is a lot of it about! I got off lightly a few weeks ago - just a few days of feeling exhausted, very little appetite and a mild headache and then absolutely fine.

Hope you are back to full strength soon John Smile

Thanks, yes I feel fully recovered now.

Some symptoms hung in there for a couple of weeks, like my sense of taste went weird for another week or so, up until this week I couldn't taste BEER!! or tea, in fact I've really gone off tea. Back on the occasional beer, had a pint of Bass yesterday, and coffee tastes OK now Very Happy

Hi all
I've forgotten who the administrator is (John W? though I think it is now Ian) but my avatar or whatever it's called has disappeared and is now replaced by a stupid message about a website called photobucket, the same as above in fact.

Do I need to do anything?
Thanks

I thought you were protesting about Photobucket,Schiz.

I've had a few emails from them saying..

Some features on your account will be disabled.
WE NOTICED THAT YOU HAVE BEEN USING
PHOTOBUCKET FOR 3RD PARTY HOSTING*

PLEASE UPGRADE TO A PLUS 500 PLAN.

I've just ignored them

Was your avatar taken from Photobucket? If yes, perhaps that's why your photo has been replaced.

Yeah, I think you'll have to find somewhere else to host your avatar. It's not something that can be fixed at this end. You could try downloading it then uploading it here but I suspect it could be too big for this board's software to cope.

It was John W who kindly installed the avatar. As Becky says, I shall just ignore it.
Thanks all the same.

I thought it was a deliberate avatar. Quite liked it!

I used to use Tiny Pic, if it's still going.

Gosh, Photobucket has finally kicked it Very Happy

I think I (and others) need to go into our profiles and change source of image, I'll try and remember how to do that.....
