Did anyone watch this? I thought it was absolutely lovely and almost the best thing to watch this Christmas. Michael Ball, Imelda Staunton and the young boy who played the lead were outstanding.

Here is the link:

… and here is the link to the programme about how it was made:

Until I saw this I did not realise how versatile Imelda Staunton is.

I did,Eileen... Smile I caught up with it on Saturday. It was near the top of my list of programmes to watch, that were on over the Christmas period and it didn't disappoint.

Wonderful writing from Victoria Wood. brought to life by wonderful perfomances from the cast.

I very near fell in love with Tubby...Michael Ball was just lovely in the part. He and Imelda Staunton were a joy to watch.

A feel good programme of the highest order ...loved it... a real Christmas cracker!

I'd be surprised if it isn't,Angela.

(It will probably be on the iPlayer if you don't mind watching programmes on that)

Thanks Becky, I will probably wait for a repeat because my internet connection is poor and it keeps dropping out.
