Sad to hear of the death of this quiet man of pop at the ridiculously young age of 64

As was pointed out on radio today he actually encouraged people to buy the Band Aid record back in the mid eighties at a point when his own track was at number 2 in the charts and could easily have gone to number one - ironically the Band Aid track didn't reach number one but what a selfless act from a really nice man - RIP Jim

I loved I Won't Let You Down. For me it was a stand out record of it's time ...loved his vocal on it.

64 is no age these days. Sad
