The 2016 grim reaper still hasn't finished with his cull of celebs. Does anyone remember the weather man Ian McCaskill (hope I've spelt his surname right)? On this evening's news, it was reported that he died over the weekend. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

Yes, LEE, who could forget him? He certainly was a distinctive character and I can still hear his voice in my head.
2016 has been a particularly bad year for losing big names dear to us even if we didn't know them personally.
RIP Mr McCaskill. |

LEE, our usual friends on here have gone awol, presumably because of the changes John has made. I don't want to lose touch with Helen, Becky, Ruddles etc. |

Not sure there are changes Ian but John's other part of the website R2OK looks like it's had a few additions, at least since the last time I looked.
Maybe everyone's just busy Eileen

Sad to see another great character from the past go to the large weather centre in the sky
He had a great sense of humour and in one interview I heard he was joking that he'd never be able to compete with Michael Fish in terms of his public profile - expect he was rather glad he couldn't given what happened in 1987 _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

Relieved to see we are all still here.
I was thrown because when I clicked on the R2OK icon I have in my favourites, it took me to John's music website on r2ok.co.uk whereas I normally get to the bizhat page.
And yes, Helen, we are all busy! |

That was strange Eileen! No wonder you were a bit concerned.

Actually the same thing happened to me - I have absolutely no idea why that should suddenly happen _________________ Are you ready for a Ruddles? |

So sad that someone who brought us so much sunshine with his style of weather presenting spent his last years with such a horrible disease.
R.I.P Ian.
