Just heard on the Radio 2 news that Peter Sarstedt has died.

Where Do You Go To My Lovely is of course a classic. I also liked the follow up Frozen Orange Juice.
RIP

I completely agree Schiz - both great tracks which have stood the test of time

Until very recently I never realised that early sixties singer Eden Kane was his brother as well as Robin of course who had success of his own

A New Year but sadly little change in the order of things so it would seem - a really sad loss Sad

I was sad to hear about Peter, about an hour ago. I remember having a really good drawing of him on one of my school books. I cheated a bit, as I used carbon paper...but never told the other kids.

Sadly overlooked, is his first record, which should have been a massive hit. It got plenty of airplay on Radio One at the time.

I Am A Cathedral

Sad news indeed. I liked I am a Cathedral and the other 2 tracks mentioned.

Would never have remembered that one,Raver. He had a lovely voice.

Sad to read he suffered,in the last years of his life, with a rare progressive neurological condition.

Tim Rice played an Eden Kane record yesterday on SOTS and said he had seen him singing just a few months ago, sounding really good.

Yes Becky. How cruel that he was unable to even pick up a guitar in his last years. The very thing that had given him so much joy. I know how I'd feel if that ever happened to me.

According to his website, he was unable to even use a computer, so how terribly sad and frustrating that must have been.
