Dave Aylott was on JV today after 1 o'clock talking about I think his eulogy and other things. I came in right at the end so will have to listen back.

Typical Evil or Very Mad and I know this is ( supposed to be) a news programme but do I want to hear all about Martin McGuinness in Jeremy's saddest voice, probably over and over again whilst Chuck Berry's death hardly got a mention!
Typical of the BBC sometimes...

To be fair, JV is a broadcaster, mainly a political one, which may explain why his musical knowledge is so limited. And Chuck Berry was way before his time.

In the meantime the BBC's sycophantic gushing coverage of their hero McGuinness is utterly shameful. Predictably.

I would have thought Chuck Berry would have got mentioned on Monday but I suppose all the fuss over Sara Cox's 24 hour 80th dance thing put paid to it.

Actually JV is into music, but maybe not Chuck Berry! I've said this many times before but he doesn't get to choose the majority of what is played.

I didn't hear the show yesterday and only a few minutes of today so don't know what, if anything, was said.

Yes, re-reading this, I shouldn't have targeted JV's show in particular but more the BBC in general. When Mohammed Ali died, we heard about it for days.
I, like most people, loved Mohammed at the time but surely Chuck was his equal?
