PM on Radio 4 has been playing a Wogan moment each day just before the 6 o'clock news. Today it was a Janet and John story where Terry lost it.

One you might have missed among the avalanche of tributes. John Humprys.

Has Johnnie Walker said anything? I heard about 40 minutes of his show today, but there was no mention at all, which is odd.

I think it was a recording Ian, I didn't hear it all though. Maybe he's on holiday.

It probably was, and he probably is - but they didn't say so. I do think it's deceitful to appear to be live - how much money do people waste on texts that are never going to be read?

Before last week's SOT70s an announcer said that the show had been recorded before Wogan's death. No such announcement was made today (I don't think-I didn't hear it all) which implies it was live.

There again, was Wogan particularly relevant to the 70s?

I wondered that last week Schiz. I doubt it, as Radio 2 was rather Light Programme than Radio 1 where the 'sounds of the 70s' were more likely played.

Why do they have to say that a programme is live? It baffles me why so much fuss is made because it's not. Does anyone bat an eyelid that most of the top TV shows are recorded, ie all the brilliant drama series?

I think announcing that the shows were pre-recorded was only really relevant last Sunday and I wasn't expecting any such announcements today and didn't think it necessary.

That said I'm still feeling sad about it.

The 70s is when Wogan had his hit record!

It just seems odd that Madeley, Paige, O'Grady, Ball, and yesterday O'Leary all paid tribute to Terry but Walker didn't. Whether you think it's relevant or not, it stands out a bit.

Clare Teal did on the night the sad news was announced and last night at the request of many listeners she played There's a Lighthouse Shines Across the Bay.

Well maybe he recorded 2 shows before going away, people are allowed holidays Ian! As I said previously, okay make an announcement on the day Terry died. Had it not been on a Sunday I doubt there would have been so many announcements. Once is enough surely?

I expect Johnnie will say something on his return.

Unveiled in Limerick the other day...not the most flattering statue of our Tel.

A statue of Terry Wogan was unveiled in Limerick and it doesn't really look anything like him

It's awful. What a shame! For one thing the shape of his head is completely wrong. Sad

It's probably done by the same "sculptor" who gave everyone a good laugh with his Ronaldo statue...

Laughing
And Ronaldo said he liked what he saw,Raver..... perhaps he felt bound to say that..he couldn't have meant it...could he?

Last year I went to the unveiling ceremony of a statue of Morecambe and Wise in Blackpool...it really is a good likeness of them both. Pity they didn't get the same chap to do the statue of Terry.

Yes Becky, that is a great statue of them both and how nice that their widows did the unveiling and were delighted. I wonder what the Wogan family think of his statue?

By the way, are you in shot in that clip?

There's no mention of any of Terry's family being at the unveiling of his statue,Eileen....well not in that article. I wonder if they were consulted at all.

No,I'm not in that clip. Smile

I'm not a daytime TV watcher but I caught a glimpse of an afternoon TV series (Terry and Mason's Great Food Trip) with Terry and his pal Mason, that I missed first time round, so thought I'd record them and give them a whirl.

Watching them confirms what a very natural, very humorous man he was. I am thoroughly enjoying them.

It's a delightful series ...one of the episodes saw him and his pal in York. I was on holiday in York earlier on in the year so it was lovely to see Sir Terry and his friend walking round this beautiful city, whilst looking out for where I had walked too.

We very near ate at The Star where they did but it was booked up!

You're missed,Terry. Crying or Very sad

Yes Becky, I have caught the repeats occasionally, but I did see all of them first time around. It certainly was a delightful series and a great partnership and every episode showed what a humorous and natural performer he was. He was taken from us far too soon.
