People wouldn't have been saying 'Jack who?', back in the late fifties and for a couple of decades after, as well as slipping away largely unnoticed. So prevalent in shaping rock and roll in this country. Fascinating character, who more than lived up to his name.

It maybe was before my time, but I've heard of Oh Boy.

Thanks for posting Raver. I can just about remember Six Five Special being on TV on Saturday nights. The theme tune is going round my head right now and I can see that train coming closer!

I think my Mum used to enjoy it, I seem to remember Lonnie Donegan being on it.

RIP

I can remember seeing Lonnie on telly, at an early age, quite a bit, but not certain what he was on. Variety shows , I think.

"Over the points, over the points"...that's it H, isn't it?
