......is back on the BBC and there is an upset on the cards with Warrington Town's part-timers leading League Two's Exeter City by a goal to nil at half time.

Yes I work out of a base in Warrington and until this week I never even knew they had a football team Embarassed

What an entertaining match - just how proper football should be instead of having to put up with the antics of the overpaid 'prima donnas' we encounter in the Premier League all the time

It's not often I can be bothered watching football these days but I'm glad I did tonight Smile

Yes, I watched the game and thoroughly enjoyed it. Warrington defended like heroes and deserved the win. A great game, and I still believe the FA Cup is a great competition.

Praise must also go to my local team Chester City who beat Southend away from home Very Happy

It could result in a local derby between Chester and Warrington but we'll just have to wait and see

I suppose Warrington would probably rather draw a big club like Sheffield United - there's talk of playing their next game if they get a home tie against a big club at Goodison Park - apparently they could have sold around 20000 tickets for last night's game Smile

And Worcester City ...very well done to them both!

Gosport Borough did well to put 3 past Colchester before succumbing 3-6

Fantastic result for Blyth Spartans but I feel for Hartlepool....the ball looked over the line to me but only Phil Neville agreed with me on that. Smile

Paul Murray has paid the price for Hartlepool's defeat last night.

I didn't think the whole of the ball was over the line Becky which is what is required for a goal to be given but even if it was the linesman - sorry assistant referee Rolling Eyes could not have been fully sighted as his line of vision was obstructed so he could not support the awarding of a goal if he could not see it

As for Hartlepool generally they seem to be developing a habit of losing winning leads in the last few minutes of every game which is certainly a recipe for relegation Smile

It was such an important match to both teams, ruddles,I would have much preferred to see the issue resolved by goal line technology.

If it had turned out that it was a goal and the match had been drawn perhaps Paul Murray wouldn't have been sacked.

Fabulous draw for Cambridge Utd last night ...
which they richly deserved!

Would have been cruel if Man U had scored, due to Donaldson's mistake, after the way he has played....happily they didn't!

Louis Van Gaal wouldn't have won many fans,I wouldn't have thought, with his after match moaning about the pitch, the referee etc

A thoroughly enjoyable match which embodied what the F.A Cup is all about!

Good luck to Cambridge for the replay.

(Championship team Blackburn Rovers have just gone through at the expense of Premiership side Swansea City ..3-1 Swansea ended the game with 9 men!)

Jose Mourinho said, before the match, that it would be a disgrace if Bradford beat Chelsea ....well they have done just that!!

After the match he said that they (both him and the team ) should feel ashamed and embarrassed

Oh the joys (and despairs*) of the F. A. Cup!

(*Spurs ) Crying or Very sad

I love it when the overpaid arrogant prima donnas get humbled by the so called smaller clubs.

A bad day for Chelsea and Man City and their plastic supporters.

I bet the whole of Bradford, and their supporters, wake up tomorrow and think it was all a dream. Very Happy

Given another chance to be on the TV I wonder if Mark Lawn (co-chairman of Bradford) would choose to wear the same attire as he did today. Shocked
Very Happy

It looks like ITV are about to bid for Premiership highlights again, despite all these warnings from history!

I agree completely that highlights back on ITV would be an extremely bad thing Ian

A very good day yesterday for my team Liverpool despite them failing to overcome a fairly mediocre Bolton side at the first attempt - resulting in a replay which bearing in mind their imminent European commitments they could well have done without Sad

However with Chelsea Man City Southampton and Spurs all beaten and in my view the likelihood of West Ham going out against Bristol City this afternoon then in theory the only real threat is likely to come from Man United Arsenal and perhaps Stoke

I just wonder what effect Chelsea's dreadful debacle yesterday will have on their chances in the second leg of the League Cup tie on Tuesday - will it help of hinder their chances against Liverpool? Confused

I think that special mention also deserves to go to Leicester - a team which I used to watch regularly at home in the mid seventies - in coming back from a 1-0 deficit against Spurs away from home despite being bottom of the Premier League - at the start of the season I said that they would not be relegated this season and despite their current position I'm sticking with that opinion

I just wonder what odds now on a Liverpool v Man United final - depending on how the draw turns out of course Smile

Well, any ITV coverage will be better now that they've quite rightly got rid of that illiterate, arm waving moron Adrian Chiles. A truly appalling individual.

I completely agree Schiz - I've never forgiven him for driving Carol Thatcher from The One Show by claiming he was offended by alleged racist language - that's despite the fact he regularly attends West Bromwich Albion home matches where I'm quite sure he hears much worse language Rolling Eyes

Must have changed their minds..

29th of January 2015:

BBC retain the rights to Premiership football and Tony Hall, BBC Director General
says: "Itís fantastic news that we have kept the Premier League highlights. Sport matters. It brings the nation together. It can break hearts and raise spirits. And because it matters to the public, it also matters to the BBC."

(The pundits for MOTD will no doubt be sleeping easier in their beds since this announcement. Wink)

http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/latestnews/2015/premier-league-highlights-motd

Wednesday the 4th of February 2015:

The Open on Sky: BBC loses golf rights, is Wimbledon next?

Golf goes the way of cricket, and BBC decision could also be bad news for rugby and tennis
