Happy New Year to everyone! Very Happy

Hope you're doing well Santa Fe! Don't leave it so long for your next post either.....

I wasn't sorry to see the end of 2016, although I'm still dealing with things caused my my Dad's passing in July. It gets more complicated by the week.... Rolling Eyes

As the new year weather wasn't really conducive to people commiting aviation in public places, consequently I wasn't going to the annual new year fly-in at Popham airfield. Therefore I saw the new year in in my local pub, and yes I did bid 'Good Riddance' to 2016.
I hope 2017 turns out to be a much better year for everyone, and St Peter has a much less frantic time at those pearly gates upstairs!

Happy New Year everyone! On NYD I went on a very pleasant stroll with my walking group round the Rickmansworth Five Lakes - sounds a long trek but only 4-5 miles - and the threatened heavy rain held off until we had finished.

Welcome back Santa. I always envy you your location

A belated Happy New Year to one and all.

Sorry to hear of the passing of your respective fathers, Helen and Phil. I'm sure you are both glad to see the back of 2016, as most were.

Hello Becky. Lovely to be here. I had an idea you might approve. Not sure why, but I couldn't find the old original film of that on You Tube, which is why that's only about 30 seconds long. The rest are by strange people...

Anyway...it's a thrill to be back in this salubrious establishment. Neutral

Happy New Year to everyone from me. Thankfully a better year for me than last year was and so I didn't feel the need to bid 'good riddance' to 2017 while at my 'local' as I did the previous year. I hope 2017 was good to all and that 2018 will be even better.

Happy Belated New Year to one and all

So far I've spent most of mine laid up in bed with what must be one of the worst cases of flu I've ever experienced

Knew I shouldn't have allowed my quack to have talked me into having that flu injection Mad

I went down with the cold from hell Friday before Christmas and went out for the first time yesterday. It seems to linger for ever. Hope you're over it soon Ruddles.

Thanks everyone - I feel a bit better today but every time I think I'm OK and try to stand to do anything I find I'm having to sit down within a couple of minutes Sad - it's never a great time of year to be suffering these things Helen but judging from the latest news about the NHS it seems we're certainly not alone Smile

It seems to come back just when you think you're over it. There was an ad in our local paper on how to look after yourself in winter from the NHS. All common sense really, but it did list average times for a cold to be over the worst as being 13 days..... I've a day to go!

A belated Happy New Year to all. Sorry to hear about ghastly colds and flu. I escaped! OH had a foul cold and cough and as soon as I knew I started using First Defence which is wonderful. I haven't had anything like that for many years, apart from a couple of years ago when I had a sore throat which went on and on then eventually cleared up on its own..
