Has died aged 77
He was a Scottish professional footballer, who played as a goalkeeper for Liverpool and Tranmere Rovers in the 1950s through to the 1970s.Lawrence played in three full internationals for Scotland during the 1960s.
Apart from remembering Tommy for his playing career I remember him appearing on my local news a couple of years ago. Stuart Flinders was out on the streets of Liverpool asking people if they remembered a famous derby match between Liverpool and Everton back in 1967..one of the people he asked said "Yes,I remember it...I played in it...I was Liverpool's goalkeeper"
It was TV gold.
The chance encounter is here...what a lovely, happy face Tommy had.
