I mentioned those programmes on another thread and I listened to this one the other day...

Jeremy Vine is the UK's lunchtime radio legend. But when he's not interviewing politicians and personalities, unearthing local stories of national importance, or talking to someone from an owl sanctuary inStevenage, he has another vital role to perform.

Whenever he pauses to play a record, he knows he has three minutes to offer off-air advice to the world's great and good - all of whom have asked him for help in their moment of need. God knows Donald Trump has problems.

Which is why they turn, in private, to Jeremy (as played by Lewis MacLeod - Postman Pat, Star Wars: Episode I - Phantom Menace). Featuring Jess Robinson and Terry Mynott, this is a part-scripted, part-improvised spoof phone-in, where most of the celebrities in distress are played by impersonators, but a couple of whom may yet be real.

Really enjoyed this.. .. Very Happy and would have bet money that it was Jeremy talking...still not sure it's not him. Smile

Not bad, that. Not bad at all...but then the JV impressionist has me in fits all the time, on Wrighty's show.

I did give the Bradley Walsh one a go as well, last week or the week before, but switched off after 5 or 10 mins. It may have been really good after that. But I like Brad's comedy without a script.

I wonder if it's the same person.

Yeah, it's Lewis McCleod on Wrighty's show too. He's also part of the Dead Ringers cast on Radio 4.

Not listened to all of the Comedy Showcases yet. I find it a shame that Radio 2 used to have comedy all year round and now you get a series of pilots squashed into 2 weeks - and if they get picked up for series, where do they go?
