It's been announced Zoe will be off today, replaced by Kate Thornton and next Saturday, replaced by Suzi Perry. This follows the suicide of Zoe's partner yesterday.

My deepest sympathy goes to Zoe and everyone else affected at this sad time.

Who was her partner?

I thought she was married to Norman 'Fatboy' Cook

Have I missed something - quite likely as I don't read newspapers Smile

She split from Norman Cook a couple of years ago and has been going out with a cameraman off the Antiques Roadshow. I don't know much more than that, but there's a lot more in the tabloids if you're so inclined (and I don't think many people are, to be fair).

How sad for her. I read that he had been found dead but if it was suicide that must be so much harder to deal with than a simple sudden death. Those who are left, especially anyone who was close to the deceased, will for ever be asking themselves why and what they could have said or done differently to prevent it happening. Just awful.

Hopefully,Eileen, those left behind will be reassured, by professionals, that once someone gets to that state there is nothing than anyone can do to help.

Must be devastating for the person's family and loved ones. Sad

I feel very sad for her, despite not particularly being fond of her shows. I'd only read, last week I think, of how she was turning her life round after her split with Norman.

I see that while Zoe's away the show will be hosted by Rylan Clark-Neal. Possibly a new low for Radio 2.

He seems to have added the Neal, recently. So he'll probably be twice as unbearable.

The R2 programmers show a stunning lack of imagination, when it comes to presenters. We knew that, anyway. But this fella makes Allan Carr seem like John Peel.

If you don't know him he was an X-Factor contestant (finished 5th) and has won Celebrity Big Brother (in 2013, I think). He's on ITV's This Morning and is very camp and well-manicured. He did Room 101 and I thought he was OK on there but generally he's quite vacuous and self-obsessed. He's only 29-years-old, so perfect for the Radio 2 demographic!

That explains why I've never heard of him as I watch none of those TV shows! Oh yes 29 fits R2 perfectly Rolling Eyes ................ I rarely listen to Zoe so it won't be much of a hardship!
