The sad death of Geoffrey Hayes of the TV show Rainbow and singer Charles Aznavour have been announced on the news today. 'She' is the most well known track of Charles Aznavour, being a big UK no 1 in 1974.

Lovely memories of Rainbow. We took a niece of mine to see their show at the Opera House in Manchester She was a big fan. In her short life she spent long periods of time in hospital due to complications from brain surgery for a tumour. Unbeknownst to her I wrote to Rainbow, beforehand, asking if they would say hello to her, from the stage, when we were there. They did that and much more. To say she was thrilled (as were we all) would be an understatement.

R.I.P Geoffrey and thanks.

A nice tribute,to Charles Aznavour from Neil McCormick on Up All Night with Rod Sharp (Why aren't there more like him on the BBC?) last night.

I loved his voice.
