Happy New Year everyone. Who's excited about starting their day with Zoe Ball and ending it with Sara Cox? |

Happy New Year to you Ian and everyone on R2OK!
Can't say that I'll be listening to either of them in reality. I'll await reports on Sara but have found other listening 'homes' for that time of the day most of the time.

I don't mind Zoe, if only because she's an improvement on her predecessor.
Radio 2's gain is Virgin's loss.
As for Sara, too 80s obsessed, just like the whole radio station. |

Happy New Year, all.
I'll be giving Lauren Laverne a go, I guess. Though it could be Classic FM, as I'm a delicate little flower in the morning...and I've had it on for most of December.
Definitely not Zoe, though. Far too excitable for me. _________________ life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans |

Happy New year!
I'll be sticking with Lauren Laverne.
I'll miss grumpy Keaveney, he even manages to make OH laugh in the mornings. |

For the first time for about five years, the new year wasn't seen in at my local boozer, but at home where I watched Jools Holland's Hootenany. The reason for this was so that I could be at Popham for their new year fly-in, which wasn't rained off for once! And I had to re-new my membership.
As has been said already, Zoe will be an improvement on her predecessor. While I'm sorry that Simon Mayo has left, I also like Sara Cox as a broadcaster. My hope is that they don't abandon those of us who aren't on the likes of facebook etc, and who would rather get in touch by E-mail. We do have things to say as well. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

Happy New Year everyone! Hope you all celebrated (or not, as the case may be) and enjoyed yourselves. Me, I went to bed at 11.15pm as usual and next day went for my usual group NYD walk and drink. |

Happy New Year!
I float around a few stations in the early morning but somehow don't think I'll be floating in the direction of Zoe's programme. |

Happy New Year all!
I do feel I should post more, but I don't listen to Radio 2 anywhere near as much as used to. It's weird but as I've got older (I'm 45) I've felt the station has been aiming younger than me, it's offering much less than it used to. |

I don't think any of us listen as often as we did even 5 years ago Ian. They definitely aim at a younger audience which I find odd as younger audiences are supposedly into streaming etc. A bit like M&S appealing to teenagers who wouldn't be seen dead in the shop and wondering why sales are down .

Not as late as some...
Happy New Year to all and many thanks Ian and John.
Not much R2 round these parts, either. Though I have Lisa's show on as I type.
But then it's ceased to matter, as it's been this way for a long time. 6 Music had some good stuff over the festive period...Martin Freeman did some good shows - 3 hours each of the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's, 2000's and 2010's. Have only heard two of them (guess!) but he's into his music and it shows.

Also, there were some really good programmes called Wise Women, too. I have no idea what R2 offered us. I heard Anneka Rice on Xmas morning and that just made me think of Stewpot. But she did OK. _________________ life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans |
