Yesterday's song of the day for me was Twist and Shout from the Beatles on Claudia Winkleman's show. I think it was the choice of her guest author Caitlin Moran.

It really is ages since I heard the track and of course it still has Beatles' memories for me!

Did you know Ringo was 79 yesterday,Helen. Doesn't seem possible, but it is.
Very Happy

Edit
Am listening to Tony's programme from last Friday - the fifties special - and he's playing Dance With Me by The Drifters...love,love it! My track for today.

Gosh yes he would be, now you mention the date! It's frightening.

We listened to Tony live on Friday and it was a great show. Someone texted in to say 'I wasn't going to bother listening to this week's show as I wasn't around then but so glad I changed my mind'........ loads you could say to that comment eh!

Indeed!
Tony made a mistake in his programme saying Rosemary Clooney was George Clooney's mum. She was his aunt.

Please don't laugh but when I heard Steve Wright play a bit of the Robin Hood theme a smile lit up my face!

I've probably mentioned before that I once checked in Richard Greene on a flight and I didn't recognise him until one of the porters/baggage handlers told me. I looked down at the ticket that he had given me and of course the name said it all!

My favourite story about Robin Hood music was a couple's wedding day at about the time Bryan Adams had his massive No1 hit from Robin Hood - Prince Of Thieves. The couple obviously hoped for 'Everything I do', but apparently asked for that theme from the 'Robin Hood' film and got 'Robin Hood, Robin Hood, Riding Through The Glen'. If I had been a guest at that wedding, I don't think I'd have been able to stop myself from laughing!

Listening to Jeremy Vine and Supertramp came on with Give A Little Bit. Love the overall sound of Supertramp especially the lead vocal. I always thought they were an American group ...must have been from Breakfast In America.

Well that's my excuse.. Laughing
