Timothy Dalton ~ Cromwell.

(I don't think I ever fully appreciated the acting talents of Alec Guinness until I watched him in A Foreign Field which was a made for TV film. I was stunned by his performance in it.)

Bill Nighy ~ Hot Fuzz

(We have that film on DVD, Becky, and Alec Guinness was indeed wonderful in it. I have always loved his performances, two of my favourites being Great Expectations as Herbert Pocket and The Lady Killers as "Professor" Marcus.)

Burt Kwouk ~ Leon the Pig Farmer

(just read through Bernard Bresslaw's biography. How sad that he suddenly had a heart attack and died in Regents Park just before he was going to appear in a Shakespeare play there in order to extend his stage work)

(Celia Johnson was a sister-in-law of Ian Fleming. Surprising what you learn from Wikipedia. Smile

I loved visiting the cafe from the film Brief Encounter)

Julian Orchard ~ The Slipper and the Rose

(Lovely film and JO always amused me. Becky, I spent ages in Carnforth Station a couple of years ago when driving back to Hampshire from a walking holiday in the Lake District. I filmed the famous clock being wound up by that chap who was in trouble later for being overheard by a visitor making what was thought to be a racist remark)

Victor Mature ~ My Darling Clementine

Becky, I had a look at the Kismet cast to see which character was played by Jack Elam, scrolled down further and saw that an orange seller was played (uncredited) by Jamie Farr, aka Klinger in M*A*S*H. Well, they all have to start somewhere and he would have been about 19 at the time. I must watch the film again next time it is on.
