Farewell to one of the greatest songwriters of all time. Who has probably passed most people by. Admired by Dylan, Springsteen, Cash and so many more, he was just the best. I became aware of him quite late really. Johnnie Walker had him on his Drivetime show a few times and I was instantly smitten.

Had the great privilege to be about three feet from him as he worked his magic in a tent at Finsbury Park, while it hammered down with rain outside. One of the finest moments of my life.

He beat cancer twice, but the shitty virus laid him low and eventually beat him. The finest writer of the human condition that I've ever known. This song of his is very much of today's times.

Hello In There.
