This went out last night but will be on iPlayer and there is at least one more episode. He did a previous series, I think about music in movies, and it was very good. This guy is great at the piano.
I've got it on record so not watched yet but heard a trail on Radio 2 which reminded me.

Sound Of Musicals is repeated, starting tonight. Always worth another look.
Also, this might appeal to some - including me.
The Joy Of Easy Listening. 12.00 tonight on BBC 4. I've you've already had your Horlicks by then, set the recorder...

Yes Raver, I watched (yet again!) that first episode of The Sound of Musicals. Neil Brand is such an engaging chap. It was somewhat poignant to see Anna-Jane Casey during rehearsals - she who during the pandemic has become a delivery driver, as has her husband. . |

I have to come clean...I've not yet got around to watching it again, Eileen. But I will do it today or tomorrow. Thanks for the info about Anna-Jane Casey. I had no idea she's now a delivery driver (as are most of the country it seems...mine is due between 3-5 this very afternoon), It's tragic to seethe Arts decimated like this, but with a lot of luck, maybe next year, if it's not too late.
Having just googled her after reading your post, I also discovered that she is a bit of a fan of Marina Hyde - columnist for The Guardian, as am I, according to her Twitter feed. So I'm now following her. thanks to you. Not stalking, you understand! _________________ life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans |
