Probably not everyone's favourite show but some gems, usually from the coaches themselves, including one from Tom Jones last night. A fab impromtu performance of 'It's Not Unusual' following one of the others asking how he had got started in the business. The others obviously realised 'the moment' and Jennifer Hudson (who I surprisingly like) videos it on her phone (not for the first time either!) as does Will I am. Tom's voice is still great.
Didn't watch the series at all last year when Boy George was on the team.

I record it,Helen, and then zip through the adverts and most of the singer's stories. I did catch Tom singing...very entertaining and like you say he still has a great voice. I think the judges are a good mix...I like them all. I have never seen a phone case like the one Jennifer has.
A surprise seeing Carol Smillie being one of the proud parents. |

We do more or less the same becky, but start watching about 40 mins into the live show, and that phone case is something else!
I think they all really gel and I took to Will I am in the first series.
Yes it was a surprise seeing Carol, think the decision was right though.

Back again tonight for the new series and another performance from Tom with a hopeful! This time it was Lonnie Donnegan's son who Tom had turned for obviously not knowing the guy's identity. He then went on to sing 'I'm Never Gonna Fall In Love Again' with his son, which was written by Lonnie, something I never knew.
The final contestant got to duet with Jennifer Hudson, I wonder who it will be next week?

I've just finished catching up with tonight's edition of The Voice,Helen and I thought that that was a lovely moment. I knew Lonnie had written that song but didn't know he had written it for Tom. Although Tom sings it beautifully I've always preferred Lonnie's own version.
I also enjoyed Jennifer's duet. A good fun programme with some decent voices tonight. |

I'll Never Fall.... is my favourite Tom song. He puts so much emotion into it.
Didn't know that Lonnie Donergan wrote it though. |

Watched the 2nd of 'the best moments of the Voice' last night and included was the Tom anLonnie's son. Great to see it again.
I've enjoyed both the 'best bits of the last 4 years' shows. For me it's the coach's camaradie that helps make the show. They all get along so well and I don't think it's 'put on'.

Nice moment, last night, on the first programme in the latest series of The Voice.
One music legend (Stevie Wonder) singing to another music legend (Tom Jones) for his 80th birthday later this year.
Tom was visibly moved. |

I've only just seen that clip, by accident on Facebook. What a moment.
Here's the start of their friendship....long may it continue.
