Blimey...old Mark Occy has slipped up here.
According to BBC News Ents site Phil is leaving the BBC 6 Breakfast show after 6 years.
Some bloke who works at night is taking over in April.
I wonder if Our Leslie has other changes in mind for Radio 2 at the same time? Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Yes, I was expecting Mark O to post this too! Laughing

There are a lot of changes over at 6Music - presenters being dropped or moved around, yet another host of Dream Ticket, but maybe it's just natural progression...

But I wonder if the 6Music shake-up is just a warm-up for the biggie?

Shaun Keaveny is taking over from Phil on April 2nd.
Why not the 1st of April i wonder?
He came from XFM apparently.
Have to say i've never heard of him.
Phil wants to concentrate on more comedy nights it says.

Because April 2nd is a Monday! If he started on April 1st there'd be no show for him Wink

Yes, it seems Phill wants to go and do comedy. First time for everything, I suppose!

This new guy Shaun is also the voice of Sky One apparently. His witty remarks over the titles just annoy me to be honest.

Blimey mike-your so call description of telecall from Lesley Douglas to a presenter is far too polite.

Where I work you just get the tele call from HR which says "you are fired-pack up your desk/belongings-you have 30 minutes to leave-have a nice day".

Why would he present a show wearing a suit?

If they're after "Brand New Customers Only" I doubt they'll get many takers with him looking like that.... looks like a trendy comedy funeral director Laughing

Does anyone else agree that 'Have a nice day' just doesn't sound right in a British accent

Ah, the webcam.... scourge of the radio presenter.

Gone are the days you could turn up in the studio wearing a scabby t-shirt and jeans that needed a wash at least 3 days ago Laughing
