I used to love a bit of Lindisfarne. Only saw them once, at Charlton, when they were playing as one of the supports for The Who, a lifetime ago. I also treasure my Alan Hull solo album, Pipedream. He was indeed, a genius and it warmed the heart to see him getting some recognition, especiallly coming from another Geordie gold nugget of today, Sam Fender, who I've liked ever since I first heard him on Jo Whiley, while driving home one night.
This was a brilliant celebration of Alan, with warmth and love, from many pof his peers, his family and fellow bandmates.
I know Red Baron saw Lindisfarne many, many times at Newcastle Town Hall and hope she managed to catch it.
