This was a good listen with a very varied mix of music. Easily the best weekday show on Radio 2 IMHO. _________________ Pirate Johnnie Walker played my request on 11 April 2009 |

I meant to start a thread for this programme last week,Angela.
It's good to have Tony back on the station. I have enjoyed the majority of the music he has played up to now. |

The Elegants and 'Little Star'. I've always liked Doo Wop, from the late 50s.
Yes, Afternoon Delight is a fine song, reminds me of the hot summer of 76. |

After SOTS Tony mentioned his Golden Hour so I had a listen to last night's programme - I say listen as I whizzed through most of it as most weren't to my taste. Some good ones though especially Storm In A Teacup by The Fortunes. Brought back happy memories of seeing them a few years ago at a Sixties show. |

Paul Gambaccini has presented this for two weeks, standing in for Tony Blackburn. It has been a good listen with a varied choice of music and no TB.
I wish him well but am enjoying his absence. _________________ Pirate Johnnie Walker played my request on 11 April 2009 |
