On Wednesday we're off to see Dolly Parton at the Newcastle upon Tyne Arena. It should be a very good night.

Is anyone else going to this venue or indeed any other during the tour?

The great night duly came and we had a first-rate trip. Both DP and her backing group were on five-star form and, unlike the critic in yesterday's Telegraph, who rubbished the second half, I thought that widening the range of repertoire after the interval brought some welcome diversity. Well done, all.
