I did not know the members of the G4 monetary conference nations were splitting up, what is replacing it and why is this thread in music chat and not news & current affairs?

So they've pulled off an inversion of the government's usual trick, by burying good news behind really good news (before news of the latest casualties in Iraq, anyway). _________________ Ron |

Musically, although they were probably the best act to come out of X-Factor, they didn't sound to me to be particularly good, considering they'd been classically trained, and the CDs (actually bought the first for my mum) were pretty grim. They managed three of them, which (I think) is two more than all the others have before getting the order of the boot, but I suspect, having seen all of them in the bargain bins, they're going now to avoid being pushed.
I doubt we'll miss them, but the hard work, stress and experience they've gained from working in a tv project, and beyond, will at least give them a head start when they start looking for work in choruses, musicals etc. _________________ Ron |

Never heard of them - then again, I give X Factor etc. a wide berth. _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

They were a bargain-basement version of Il Divo who came out with a horrendous version of Radiohead's 'Creep' and followed it with an even worse version of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody.
One of them looked amazingly like Paddy in Emmerdale! _________________ We made a land where crap is king and the good don't last for long.

Everything G4 did was done better by the King's Singers thirty years ago - including covering 'Life On Mars'!
And the King's Singers had Brian Kay as one of their members as well..... _________________ "....you're wearing a plywood bow tie with Dundee United on it?" |

According to my sources, they've split because the fat one got a better paid job.... He's going to be a roundabout in Milton Keynes from next Tuesday _________________ He's not the Messiah- he's a very naughty boy! |

I will miss them dreadfully - especially the tall, good-looking bald one on the end. _________________ Eternal nothingness is fine if you happen to be dressed for it. |
