I am listening to the last Nick Barraclough country music show on R2 at the moment, although I am looking forward to the "Likely Lads", I am sad that we will loose the playing of progressive country. Bob Harris's country show is great, but although he plays some fantastic new acoustic bands, progressive and country rock will tend to take a back seat now. At least we seem to be keeping some of the other "specialist" music genre shows, but can't see Sound of The 70's, on the Radio Times listing for next week, what other gems have we lost, does any body out there know? I really do have mixed feelings about this now, you can't please all of the people all of the time, but what direction is R2 going in? Confused

If you want to hear a Radio 2 documentary, midnight is now primetime.

Anyone remember when Radio 2 used to broadcast The Folk Club at 3am. Now THAT was good scheduling. Its the one type of music on radio 2 that I cant abide.

It seems more and more of my weekly R2 listening will be done via "Listen Again", at this rate....
