I quite like them but if they are causing problems for other members it might be best to remove them. I don't really mind either way.

Now that's a photo we should have up.... where's my camera when I need it? Laughing Laughing Laughing Embarassed

Yes, it makes navigating down the page a little tiresome, and I don't really want to be faced with CE's mug every time I visit R2OK, but I'll live with it.

I think the idea's ok maybe we could have alternative pictures after a while, Walker of course, Me old mate Wrighty Lamarr and maybe Kenny Everett and Blackburn too? but I don't spose they qualify as they were not Radio2 dj's... Sad

Who's the chap under Bygone Years?

Not too sure about this John, as you know you can't please all the people all of the time and there is insufficient forum titles for all our favourite DJ's so how about replacing DJ's photos with a topical avatar relating to the forum content. This would at least stop the cries of where's Ken, Chris, Alex, Steve etc. But at least you are trying to enhance the board and I appreciate your time and efforts, so thanks John and I will let you know more how I feel when I get used to the ugly mushes. Cool

How dare you take the wee wee about the great John Dunn, he was on the Wogan slot when I first started work, course that was the Light Programme then, he was brill, especially years later on Drivetime.

I didn't know what JD looked like. I remember him well on the show before Johnnie took over but not on Tel's spot...

He looked a little like Lord Melbrey from Fawlty Towers! (the one with the brick in the safe)

I don't know when he finished doing the breakfast slot, but the great Ray Moore was also doing the Sarah Kennedy slot and he was still doing this in the mid to late 80's. However, I used to listen on the old Ever Ready trannie in the kitchen whilst having breakfast with my dad, before we both went to work, him on his push bike and me on me Beeza, circa 1964! Very Happy Happy days.

Indeed! Can that stupid pic of Evans be substituded for either Alex Lester or Ken Bruce, or at least be moved down to the foot of the page?

Looks like I can make everyone happy by changing the photos occasionally Smile (I couldn't cope with frequently - I need to find images of a quality that can shrink to ~90 high without much loss of quality).

I thought we should see what SK is like now rather than her Terrible Twos days. I do agree that the EP one is a bit young. Evans looks like ET in all the photos I've found Laughing

So maybe this weekend I'll do some changing..... but who will notice, don't most folk use the unread/recent postings link and then log out?

I know he is going on the QM2 with Roger as the latter was talking about it this morning. When he said 'next week' I assumed he meant Monday and that Ken would be doing his show from there.

They look fine on my smallish monitor, and as links they are easier to click than the board titles. I'll pop down the local internet cafe tomorrow see how the homepage looks on their large screens.
