Triumph Herald toots her horn, flashes her headlights and generally says Hi!
I've been watching things here for ages, so thought it was about time I joined. The beeb's message boards surely don't seem to want us, do they? Breathe and you're off topic! |

Hi Triumph, pity it's got 2 too many wheels, nice motor though, especially soft top. Still welcome to the show that never ends, get posting!

Hi T.H.!
I saw a Triumph Dolomite Sprinter whilst I was walking to work this morning. It was like being transported, Sam Tyler-like, back to 1973! _________________ . . . From The Asteroid Belt, Peter de Meteor |

Didn't Triumph Heralds use to rust a lot. |

I don't think they had a particularly bad name for rusting... old ones tended to have very wavy door skin bottoms and because it was such a big door, they usually dropped in time too.
I think the main worry on an old Herald was the out riggers to the chassis.
They were good little cars imo, but you'd feel every bump in the road because of that rear suspension!
Now Vauxhalls! they were REAL rotboxes.... |

or in the trade, a 3 pin plug!
speaking to my older brother lunchtime, apparently Heralds did suffer from specific rust problems...
shows what I know.... |

Don't do it Mark, after my last drive in a Reliant Regal van, I spent 12 weeks in traction in Sheffield Royal Hospital!
