|
|
Some scientists suggest that our love of the mobile phone could cause massive food shortages, as the world's harvests fail.
They are putting forward the theory that radiation given off by mobile phones and other hi-tech gadgets is a possible answer to one of the more bizarre mysteries ever to happen in the natural world - the abrupt disappearance of the bees that pollinate crops. Late last week, some bee-keepers claimed that the phenomenon - which started in the US, then spread to continental Europe - was beginning to hit Britain as well.
The theory is that radiation from mobile phones interferes with bees' navigation systems, preventing the famously homeloving species from finding their way back to their hives. Improbable as it may seem, there is now evidence to back this up.

I'm not convinced about that, but I do know that Wasps are increasingly at risk of extinction from rolled up copies of Razzle _________________ "Timpani!, Timpani!, They've all got it Timpani!"- All drummers know the pain of skin trouble. |

Its funny how mobile phones get blamed for everything. since they have been around for 20 years and the bees have only started declining in numbers last year, either its a) a very slow acting reaction or b) complete rubbish. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

I thought it was a spoof headline from "The Day Today", myself....
Saw my first bee this year last weekend in the garden - first week in April and it's summer already. _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

I think it is the answer, lets get rid of these evil intrusions into our privacy everywhere. Bees against mobiles, got a real buzz, don't ya think?
