Now that Government policies for the NHS have led to thousands of junior doctors being unable to get jobs, it's being suggested that those without jobs should go and do a spell on VSO.

Of course it's an entirely commendable thing for doctors to do this if they wish but to put it forward as a substitute for paid employment and gaining appropriate experience is completely laughable (but not funny).
