The home secretary has told the BBC the Labour Party will not be "fractured" once Tony Blair steps down as leader.

It's also reported that PM may have been in the job too long meaning there would have been know chance for anyone else to take over until he was slightly pushed.
Also Blair has being saying in the telegraph that Cameron policies are just about the same as Labours and have been warned they wont work, which includes ploughing money into run down areas. |

There was a time when some people would say: Tony Blair IS the way... but not anymore, most people would like to wave him, on his way. Then we can have Brown the Clown as a sideshow, to entertain us until the next election, when all the news reports and election result programmes will be have True Blue by Madonna playing as a backing track... ..... |

Well Blair will be gone in a months time, so 30 days wont make too much difference will it? Its not as if the country is wildly enthused about Gordon Brown.
Blair promised to serve a full 3rd term when he stood for election last time, so Brown has no mandate. He should do the decent thing & call a fresh election as soon as he takes over. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

I'm afraid that Gordon Brown does nothing for Scotland's image. Very dry! An Administrator but no Statesman (unless he raises his game). _________________ Over the hill they came....the greatest Army in the World.....The Tartan Army |

There have been rumours circulating in Westminster that Blair will announce his resignation on Friday 4th (the day after the local elections), though the current thinking is that he'll now make this announcement on either Tuesday or Wednesday next week.
I just hope people vote for the people best suited to serve them as LOCAL COUNCILLORS in the Polls on Thursday (in England) rather than making a comment about the Blair national government.
I guess we're more likely to see pigs flying, however, since most people's understanding of local versus national politics is minimal.
By the way, why does Mark use the word KNOW when he obviously means NO? It's too letters two many. |
