Did anyone watch QT last night ( Thursday 4th May) ?

Patricia Hewitt ( Health Secretary ) looked rather under pressure. I think it was a little unfair that the big mouth NHS staff were shouting at her from the audience. This isn't the way to conduct yourself and try to get your opinion across. I would expect she will go once Brown takes over as PM, but thats down too the party and not big mouth people..

I liked the way that she put both William Hague and Charles Kennedy in their places by reminding them that Tony Blair had beaten thm BOTH.

Yes that was Enoch Powells quote, more oer less. "All political careers, unless cut off by an untimely event, end in failure"

I thought that Patricia Hewitt stood up rather well against the pressure last night. I did like her little jibe about both Hague and Kennedy being beaten by Blair. That put them in their place!

I am glad to say that my long-serving and hard-working Labour candidate was again returned to his seat on my local council. He managed to beat off some young Tory squirt who is only interested in getting to be PM in a couple of years and has no interest whatever in our local community.
