Some interesting numbers from Rajar regarding the numbers listening to radio via the internet, digital tv, mobile phones, etc

http://www.rajar.co.uk/quarterlysummary/qstsvfiles/139/Q12007_DTV_Internet_DAB.pdf

22.5% listen via digital TV at least once a week

24.3% have listened to radio via the internet ever (13.4% do it at least once a week)

Only 19.5% have a DAB set at home

8% listen to radio via a mobile phone

27.3% own an MP3 player

Well, the listening via Internet figures are bound to go up, as it's becoming radio on demand - I find it increasingly impossible to listen to most of R2's output live so the Listen Again feature is wonderful.

Shows the way for the future and not judt for R2 but for radio full stop.

Ther's stuff on Radio 4 that I can't get to listen to during the day so use the listen again feature - Count Arthur Strong's radio show for example - a brillian tcomic creation but on at 11.30 in the morning and not repeated!

So I need to use the listen again feature.

I've also used the listen again when I want to listen to a show I heard live and want to...er...listen again!!

I do listen to streaming radio, such as BFBS and R2 if I'm on computer at same time.

BFBS is on in background right now as I type this.

I use listen again a lot and usually listen live online at work, so yes I think it's the way forward.

I just wish the bit-rate would be higher and the quality would improve. Still, it is very useful to have when Chris Evans is on air. I can listen to other stuff.

It certainly is helpful to be able to catch up with other shows when you don't like who's on at the moment.
