Scooch will be flying the flag for the british entry at the Eurovision this evening. It's been announced we are the outsiders, so it's all been decided? So I think it's about time we spend the money on something else, as I doubt they are doing it for free.
Thats my morning rage

You are closer to the truth than you might think Mark. It's only us along with Germany, France and Spain who keep it going with our money (which is why we automatically qualify)
I think we should threaten to leave unless they do something about this ridiculous Eastern Bloc voting.
I will watch but not for the singing, along with most other folks I just watch to hear Terry's commentary So if as some are suggesting it his last Eurovision it will be mine too. |

Like on what? Why shouldn't money be spent on harmless flippant things ocassionally? Are we all so PC now that we should not be seen to enjoy ourselves? _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

I voted for Lordi last year.
Checked out their back-catalogue too- they're pretty good in an 80's Heavy Metal stylee
Best tracks are Devil Is A Loser, Monster Monster and Blood Red Sandman
Seymour, you'd approve _________________ He's not the Messiah- he's a very naughty boy! |

Terry is quoted today as saying "We won the Cold War but we lost the Eurovision."
BTW do we really need Radio 2 rebroadcasting the eurovision on radio these days? Surely it was done in the past because there were no stereo tv's but that should be no reason to simulcast it today. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Rumours also of Sir Terry retiring from Eurovision. William Hill has already had a flurry of wagers by punters who are convinced this will be the famous Limerick man's final Eurovision outing.
It slashed the price on him leaving after this year's show to 4/1 and suspended betting, having initially quoted 12/1. Betting has since reopened and the bookmaker is also offering odds that Jonathan Ross is a likely replacement.
However, BBC bosses seemed keen to hang on to Wogan as long as they can. "He is the presenter 'for as long as'," said a spokesperson yesterday.
"It is certainly not the plan for him to retire. It's just speculation and we wouldn't comment. In all our minds, it is certainly not the last Eurovision for him." _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

You can read the interview with Terry here http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/6647905.stm
I wouldn't be suprised if he packed it in you know, especailly if the Ukraine win tonight. He seems to be getting rather disilusioned with the whole thing. |

Well, he's got the same mindset that I have - when the recap of the Ukrainian effort came on, I said "That's Christopher Biggins!" - and a couple of seconds later, so did TW!
