As it's only a week until the Eurovision vote for your neigbours contest I thought I would make a thread about it for any snippets of news
Switzerland and Sweden seem to be the early favourites at 6/1 with scooch way down at 25/1 and are at 16/1 to get nil
Bit more about betting odds here, source readabet
William Hill Latest Eurovision Prices: 6/1 Switzerland, 6/1 Sweden, 6/1 Serbia, 7/1 Belarus, 10/1 Ukraine, 10/1 Bulgaria, 12/1 Russia, 14/1 Greece, 14/1 Cyprus, 25/1 United Kingdom, 25/1 Slovenia, 25/1 Malta, 25/1 Denmark, 33/1 Romania, 33/1 Israel, 33/1 Bosnia-Herzegovina, 40/1 Turkey
William Hill have had a flurry of bets from punters looking to place wagers on this years Eurovision being the last that Terry Wogan presents and having originally quoted 12/1 have slashed the price to 4/1. Hill's also offer 10/1 that Terry leaves in 2007 and that Jonathan Ross will be the presenter of the Eurovision.
"In the last twenty four hours we have taken more money on Terry retiring than we have on the whole Eurovision market at present we have no idea whether the rumour has any substance but we are not taking any chances as rumours such as these are often correct," said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams. |

So that's where our Natasha has got to this week - she's the Macedonian entry that's on at the moment! _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

Did my ears deceive me or was the following line in Scooch's song:
"Would you like something to suck on, madam?"
The Romanian entry seems to be channelling Joe Dolce, Sacha Distel and Maurice Chevalier.... _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

I'm sure the Bulgarian lady knows what she's singing about, but I'm damned if I do - did she provide the backing vocals for the Sisters of Mercy's "Temple of Love", by any chance? _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

TW described the Turkish singer as Chris Moyles' younger, slimmer brother, whilst KB said he was a cross between Dermot O'Leary and George Michael - the latter is much more accurate!
I can't believe I've missed out on this amount of comedy in recent years.... _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”
