Asda have decided to stop selling singles http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/6683155.stm and, despite what they say, Woolies cannot be far behind - in their city store here they've cut back to just the Top 20, in a separate cardboard display unit. Virgin have also cut right back (actually Virgin are destocking everything so vigorously that they could now get everything on one floor and close downstairs off). Only one of the HMVs remains with any range to speak of.
It's a long time since I've bought one, but it will be a little sad to see them go, and it can't be long now... _________________ Ron |

If they were 99p I'd probably buy plenty - they should be a cheap sampler for albums. But why pay £3.99 for the same song three times (if you're lucky)? Seems like this the stores and record companies have been trying to get things this way for ages. |
